Inferno is a first-person survival horror game developed independently as a solo project, set in a fictional version of 1929. Thirteen years ago, the human world was invaded and overrun by demons from Hell during the First World War. In desperation, the surviving cities gathered their forces and launched one final expedition in the hope of finding a way to close the Gate of Hell. However, the expeditionary force completely lost contact with the headquarter months later. In the game, the player takes the role of an Atoner who descends into Hell, searching for the missing expedition while investigating how the Gate of Hell can be closed. Combining combat, puzzle-solving, exploration, and other elements, the game allows players to experience a distinctive vision of Hell adapted from Dante's Divine Comedy in first-person perspective.
